I just realized -- Steve Alexander wasn't Jay's producer. He was KHOW's news guy during Jay's shift.

There seems to be a general consensus on the Bimmerfest forums that this is a pretty good radar detector. I also saw it advertised in at least one of my BMW magazines. This one has also gotten some praise, but people who have tried either just the V1 or both seem to be in love with the arrows system that the V1 has. Neither is exactly cheap ($300-400), but not quite $1000, either.

I just realized, it's pretty embarassing that we have the "Trackback" link attached to every post. I'm not going to remove it or anything, because it needs to stay there as a monument to something.
